1 Hashem reigneth; let the peoples tremble; He is enthroned upon the cherubim; let the earth quake.
2 Hashem is great in Tzion; and He is high above all the peoples.

4 The strength also of the king who loveth justice– Thou hast established equity, Thou hast executed justice and righteousness in Yaakov.
5 Exalt ye Hashem our God, and prostrate yourselves at His footstool; Holy is He.
The Children of Israel were guided by Moses and Aaron in the desert, and, once they were settled in the Land of Israel, great leaders such as Samuel. They all called out to the Lord and He answered them and guided them. Though He took vengeance on His people for their sins, He is nevertheless a forgiving God who governs His people in the Land of Israel with equity, justice and righteousness. This is reason to raise God up and bow down to Him at His holy mountain, for God is truly and completely holy (verse 9).1 comment
7 He spoke unto them in the pillar of cloud; they kept His testimonies, and the statute that He gave them.
8 O Hashem our God, Thou didst answer them; a forgiving God wast Thou unto them, though Thou tookest vengeance of their misdeeds.
9 Exalt ye Hashem our God, and worship at His holy hill; for Hashem our God is holy.
