2  Take my prayer as an offering of incense, my upraised hands as an evening sacrifice.

 141:2   An evening sacrifice

Rabbi Samson Raphael Hirsch explains the importance of the mincha, the meal offering (see Leviticus chapter 2) that accompanied the evening sacrifice. The mincha was made of flour, oil and wine, three important products of Eretz Yisrael. Flour represents life, oil represents wealth and wine represents spiritual joy. The three fruits of the land used for this offering symbolize the ideal state of the People of Israel: Living, working and flourishing in the Land of Israel, while worshipping the God of Israel.

  • 141:2 The evening sacrifice

Let my prayers be set before you ole Lord thy God as a pleasing incense before The ole Lord. We learned about the evening meal offering. Prayer before God called the ‘mincha,’ this consisted of three physical representations of the land of Israel hat were gifts of God from the land of Israel to the Jewish people. And in a wonderful way they are offered back to God in a refined form to please God. From were we have begun to were we are is because of you our Father God. flour, oil and wine. Flour represents life, oil represents wealth and wine represents spiritual joy.For we are nothing without you our Lord thy God of Israel. We are but lost and empty vessels adrift in a world of sin and darkness. Without our Lord thy God these is no hope, no future for our children, no reason to survive in a world that has no light of spirit, no wisdom of law. For we are Israel and Israel is we. One in one and one in each other. We are the Chosen Children of God and of such we much carry with us in our hearts & souls all the wisdom and faith and trust that God has given us and teach our children the fear and respect and love of God. Teach the world by example through our continual faith through time and tragedy always. never to give up on the Word and law of God. For one day the Messiah will come. Amen. Carl
