Genesis 1:7

7  Hashem made the expanse, and it separated the water which was below the expanse from the water which was above the expanse. And it was so.

Heaven and Earth

1:7  And it separated the water which was below the expanse from the water which was above the expanse

In Jewish tradition, the Bible is often compared to water. Just as water promotes physical growth in the agricultural world, so too does studying the Bible promote spiritual growth and development. The Land of Israel serves as the perfect backdrop for demonstrating the significance and necessity of water. Rain, especially in desert lands such as Israel, has the ability to transform desolate deserts into flourishing, lush land. Similarly, studying the Bible can fill voids in the hearts and souls of anyone who allows themselves to be inspired by the word of God.

In Jericho, the gangster god Yahweh committed his first holocaust. After the Hebrews refused to destroy and burn the survivors, Yahweh did it himself, in his first of many holocausts against those who worshiped the mother goddess Asherah.
The Creator of All is not Yahweh the Destroyer of Life. Yahweh was a small time, local gangster god, posing as a helping god. Not unlike the Godfather role in the movie. The only thing Yahweh created was a hierarchy of spiritual parasites,[gangster organization], and a karmic prison overlaid on Earth, where human souls are livestock, to be recycled endlessly for our divine energy.

I'm a gentile studying Genesis. I stumbled on your site after googling a map of the land promised to Abram in Genesis 15. I know that I've missed much of the depth of the Torah because I don't understand Hebrew, nor the cultural context of the people it was written to. Thank you for this translation and commentary! It is helping me to have a fuller understanding of the words written, and giving me fresh insight into our amazing Creator!

Me too!!! I am a gentile also, and so thankful for this site. I just found it today! Who wouldn't want to be one of His chosen people?

  • Physically speaking…….Reading this answers my question as to the true answer to why the sky is (also) blue!

    • Steve Staniek

The scientific reason the sky is blue: blue bions containing orgone energy.

  • This statement from Genesis 1:7 as a metaphor for life is absolutely true, I can testify to that personally.
Another way of looking at this is, it's the "W" of water that quenches the fires in the physical (natural); but it's the "W" of worship and studying the Word of God that quenches the fires in the spiritual.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego understood this and they were delivered from their fiery trails without even the smell of smoke.
For myself personally, I have found this approach has redirected/refocused my attention and minsdset away from the negatives (the issues and problems in life that drag you down), providing encouragement and motivation that you need to keep yourself on track.

It's the understanding that you are putting out through your posts that also helps. So thank you.
