Joseph, a dreamer and a visionary, was Jacob’s favorite child (Genesis 37:3-4). He was sold by his brothers and ended up in Egypt (Genesis 37:25-28) where he eventually became the second in command to Pharaoh (Genesis 41:39-45). Even in Egypt, Joseph preserved his faith in God. Despite many hardships, Joseph clearly intuited that the troubles he incurred were part of God’s master plan (Genesis 45:4-8).
