What did Jael do in the Bible

Jael is one of the Bible’s heroines. She killed Sisera, general of the Canaanite king Jabin, after he sought refuge in her tent. In doing so, she helped free the Israelites from Canaanite oppression (Judges 4:17-22). Jael was praised by Deborah, the judge, for her exceptional courage (Judges 5:24-27).
