II - Chapter 29

1Chizkiyahu became king at the age of twenty-five, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Yerushalayim; his mother's name was Aviya daughter of Zecharya.

y'-khiz-ki-YA-hu ma-LAKH ben-e-s'-REEM v'-kha-MESH sha-NAH v'-e-s'-REEM va-TE-sha sha-NAH ma-LAKH bi-ru-sha-LA-im v'-SHEM i-MO a-vi-YA bat-z'-kha-ri-YA-hu

איְחִזְקִיָּ֣הוּ מָלַ֗ךְ בֶּן־עֶשְׂרִ֤ים וְחָמֵשׁ֙ שָׁנָ֔ה וְעֶשְׂרִ֤ים וָתֵ֙שַׁע֙ שָׁנָ֔ה מָלַ֖ךְ בִּירוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם וְשֵׁ֣ם אִמּ֔וֹ אֲבִיָּ֖ה בַּת־זְכַרְיָֽהוּ׃

2He did what was pleasing to Hashem, just as his father David had done.

vai-YA-as ha-ya-SHAR b'-ay-NAY a-do-NAI k'-KOL a-SHER a-SA da-VEED a-VEEV

בוַיַּ֥עַשׂ הַיָּשָׁ֖ר בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה כְּכֹ֥ל אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂ֖ה דָּוִ֥יד אָבִֽיו׃

3He, in the first month of the first year of his reign, opened the doors of the House of Hashem and repaired them.

HU va-sha-NAH ha-ri-SHO-nah l'-mol-KHO ba-KHO-desh ha-ri-SHON, pa-TAKH et-dal-TOT beit a-do-NAI, va-y'-cha-Z'-KEM.

גה֣וּא בַשָּׁנָה֩ הָרִאשׁוֹנָ֨ה לְמׇלְכ֜וֹ בַּחֹ֣דֶשׁ הָרִאשׁ֗וֹן פָּתַ֛ח אֶת־דַּלְת֥וֹת בֵּית־יְהֹוָ֖ה וַֽיְחַזְּקֵֽם׃

4He summoned the Kohanim and the Leviim and assembled them in the east square.

vai-YA-VE et ha-ko-HA-neem v'-et ha-l'-vee-YIM vai-YA-as-FEM lir-KHOV ha-miz-RAKH

דוַיָּבֵ֥א אֶת־הַכֹּהֲנִ֖ים וְאֶת־הַלְוִיִּ֑ם וַיַּאַסְפֵ֖ם לִרְח֥וֹב הַמִּזְרָֽח׃

5He said to them, “Listen to me, Leviim! Sanctify yourselves and sanctify the House of God of your fathers, and take the abhorrent things out of the holy place.

vai-YO-mer la-HEM sh'-ma-U-NEE ha-l'-vi-YIM, a-TAH hit-ka-D'-SHU v'-ka-D'-SHU et-BAYT a-do-NAI e-lo-HAY a-vo-TAY-khem, v'-ho-TZI-u et ha-ni-DAH min ha-ko-DAYSH

הוַיֹּ֥אמֶר לָהֶ֖ם שְׁמָע֣וּנִי הַלְוִיִּ֑ם עַתָּ֣ה הִֽתְקַדְּשׁ֗וּ וְקַדְּשׁוּ֙ אֶת־בֵּ֤ית יְהֹוָה֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י אֲבֹתֵיכֶ֔ם וְהוֹצִ֥יאוּ אֶת־הַנִּדָּ֖ה מִן־הַקֹּֽדֶשׁ׃

6For our fathers trespassed and did what displeased Hashem our God; they forsook Him and turned their faces away from the dwelling-place of Hashem, turning their backs on it.

ki-ma-a-LU a-vo-TAY-nu v'-a-SU ha-RA b'-ay-NAY a-do-NAI e-lo-HAY-nu va-ya-a-Z'-BU-hu va-ya-SE-vu f'-NAY-hem mi-mish-KAN a-do-NAI va-yi-t'-NU-o-REF

וכִּֽי־מָעֲל֣וּ אֲבֹתֵ֗ינוּ וְעָשׂ֥וּ הָרַ֛ע בְּעֵינֵ֥י יְהֹוָֽה־אֱלֹהֵ֖ינוּ וַיַּעַזְבֻ֑הוּ וַיַּסֵּ֧בּוּ פְנֵיהֶ֛ם מִמִּשְׁכַּ֥ן יְהֹוָ֖ה וַיִּתְּנוּ־עֹֽרֶף׃

7They also shut the doors of the porch and put out the lights; they did not offer incense and did not make burnt offerings in the holy place to the God of Yisrael.

gam sa-G'-RU dal-TOT ha-u-LAM va-y'-ka-BU et ha-NE-roT u-k'-to-RET lo hik-tee-ROO v'-o-LAH lo he-e-LU va-ko-DAYSH lay-lo-HAY yis-ra-AYL

זגַּ֣ם סָגְר֞וּ דַּלְת֣וֹת הָאוּלָ֗ם וַיְכַבּוּ֙ אֶת־הַנֵּר֔וֹת וּקְטֹ֖רֶת לֹ֣א הִקְטִ֑ירוּ וְעֹלָה֙ לֹא־הֶעֱל֣וּ בַקֹּ֔דֶשׁ לֵאלֹהֵ֖י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

8The wrath of Hashem was upon Yehuda and Yerushalayim; He made them an object of horror, amazement, and hissing as you see with your own eyes.

vai-HI KE-tsef a-do-NAI al y'-hu-DAH vi-ru-sha-LA-im va-yi-t'-NAYM (l'-za-A-vah) [l'-za-a-VAH] l'-sha-MAH v'-lish-ray-KAH ka-a-SHER a-TEM ro-EEM b'-ay-NAY-khem

חוַֽיְהִי֙ קֶ֣צֶף יְהֹוָ֔ה עַל־יְהוּדָ֖ה וִירוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם וַיִּתְּנֵ֤ם (לזועה) [לְזַעֲוָה֙] לְשַׁמָּ֣ה וְלִשְׁרֵקָ֔ה כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר אַתֶּ֥ם רֹאִ֖ים בְּעֵינֵיכֶֽם׃

9Our fathers died by the sword, and our sons and daughters and wives are in captivity on account of this.

v'-hi-NEH na-F'-LU a-vo-TAY-nu b'-kha-REV, u-va-NAY-nu u-ve-no-TAY-nu v'-na-SHEE-nu ba-sh'-VEE al zot

טוְהִנֵּ֛ה נָפְל֥וּ אֲבוֹתֵ֖ינוּ בֶּחָ֑רֶב וּבָנֵ֨ינוּ וּבְנוֹתֵ֧ינוּ וְנָשֵׁ֛ינוּ בַּשְּׁבִ֖י עַל־זֹֽאת׃

10Now I wish to make a covenant with God of Yisrael, so that His rage may be withdrawn from us.

a-TAH im l'-va-VEE likh-ROT b'-REET la-do-NAI e-lo-HAY yis-ra-AYL v'-ya-SHOV mi-ME-nu kha-RON a-PO

יעַתָּה֙ עִם־לְבָבִ֔י לִכְר֣וֹת בְּרִ֔ית לַיהֹוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְיָשֹׁ֥ב מִמֶּ֖נּוּ חֲר֥וֹן אַפּֽוֹ׃

11Now, my sons, do not be slack, for Hashem chose you to attend upon Him, to serve Him, to be His ministers and to make offerings to Him.”

ba-NAI a-TAH al ti-SHA-lu, kee-va-KHEM ba-KHAR a-do-NAI la-a-MOD l'-fa-NAV l'-sha-RE-to, v'-lih-YOT LO m'-sha-r'-TEEM u-mak-t'-REEM.

יאבָּנַ֕י עַתָּ֖ה אַל־תִּשָּׁל֑וּ כִּֽי־בָכֶ֞ם בָּחַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֗ה לַעֲמֹ֤ד לְפָנָיו֙ לְשָׁ֣רְת֔וֹ וְלִהְי֥וֹת ל֖וֹ מְשָׁרְתִ֥ים וּמַקְטִרִֽים׃

12So the Leviim set to—Mahath son of Amasai and Yoel son of Azarya of the sons of Kehat; and of the sons of Merari, Keesh son of Abdi and Azarya son of Jehallelel; and of the Gershonites, Joah son of Zimmah and Eden son of Joah;

vai-YA-koo-MU ha-LE-vee-YIM ma-KHAT ben-a-ma-SAI v'-yo-EL ben-a-za-RI-a-HU min b'-NAY ha-ke-ha-TEE u-min b'-NAY m'-ra-REE KEESH ben-a-v'-DEE va-a-za-RI-a-HU ben-ye-ha-lel-A-EL, u-min ha-ge-resh-nee yo-AKH ben-zi-MAH v'-e-DEN ben-yo-AKH. (s)

יבוַיָּקֻ֣מוּ הַ֠לְוִיִּ֠ם מַ֣חַת בֶּן־עֲמָשַׂ֞י וְיוֹאֵ֣ל בֶּן־עֲזַרְיָ֘הוּ֮ מִן־בְּנֵ֣י הַקְּהָתִי֒ וּמִן־בְּנֵ֣י מְרָרִ֔י קִ֚ישׁ בֶּן־עַבְדִּ֔י וַעֲזַרְיָ֖הוּ בֶּן־יְהַלֶּלְאֵ֑ל וּמִן־הַגֵּ֣רְשֻׁנִּ֔י יוֹאָח֙ בֶּן־זִמָּ֔ה וְעֵ֖דֶן בֶּן־יוֹאָֽח׃

13and of the sons of Elizaphan, Shimri and Jeiel; and of the sons of Asaf, Zecharya and Mattaniah

u-min b'-NAY e-li-TZA-fan shim-REE (vai-o-EL) [vi-i-a-YEL] u-min b'-NAY a-SAF ze-khar-YA-hu u-mat-tan-YA-hu.

יגוּמִן־בְּנֵי֙ אֱלִ֣יצָפָ֔ן שִׁמְרִ֖י (ויעואל) [וִיעִיאֵ֑ל] וּמִן־בְּנֵ֣י אָסָ֔ף זְכַרְיָ֖הוּ וּמַתַּנְיָֽהוּ׃

14and of the sons of Hayman, Yechiel and Shim'i; and of the sons of Yedutun, Shemaya and Uzziel—

u-min b'-NAY hay-MAN (ya-KHO-el) [ye-khee-AYL] v'-shim-EE u-min b'-NAY ye-du-TUN sh'-ma-YAH v'-u-ZEE-el

ידוּמִן־בְּנֵ֥י הֵימָ֖ן (יחואל) [יְחִיאֵ֣ל] וְשִׁמְעִ֑י וּמִן־בְּנֵ֣י יְדוּת֔וּן שְׁמַֽעְיָ֖ה וְעֻזִּיאֵֽל׃

15and, gathering their brothers, they sanctified themselves and came, by a command of the king concerning Hashem's ordinances, to purify the House of Hashem.

vai-ya-a-SFU et a-KHE-hem va-yit-ka-D'-shu va-ya-VO-u k'-mitz-VAT ha-ME-lekh b'-div-RAY a-do-NAI l'-ta-HER bayt a-do-NAI

טווַיַּאַסְפ֤וּ אֶת־אֲחֵיהֶם֙ וַיִּֽתְקַדְּשׁ֔וּ וַיָּבֹ֥אוּ כְמִצְוַת־הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ בְּדִבְרֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה לְטַהֵ֖ר בֵּ֥ית יְהֹוָֽה׃

16The Kohanim went into the House of Hashem to purify it, and brought all the unclean things they found in the Temple of Hashem out into the court of the House of Hashem; [there] the Leviim received them, to take them outside to Wadi Kidron.

va-ya-VO-u ha-ko-HA-neem lif-NEE-mah, veit a-do-NAI, l'-ta-HAYR. va-yo-tzee-U et kol ha-tum-AH a-SHER matz-U b'-hey-KHAL a-do-NAI, la-cha-TZAR beit a-do-NAI. va-y'-ka-B'-lu ha-levi-YEEM l'-ho-tzee l'-na-KHAL ki-d'-RON, khu-TZAH.

טזוַיָּבֹ֣אוּ הַ֠כֹּהֲנִ֠ים לִפְנִ֣ימָה בֵית־יְהֹוָה֮ לְטַהֵר֒ וַיּוֹצִ֗יאוּ אֵ֤ת כׇּל־הַטֻּמְאָה֙ אֲשֶׁ֤ר מָֽצְאוּ֙ בְּהֵיכַ֣ל יְהֹוָ֔ה לַחֲצַ֖ר בֵּ֣ית יְהֹוָ֑ה וַֽיְקַבְּלוּ֙ הַלְוִיִּ֔ם לְהוֹצִ֥יא לְנַחַל־קִדְר֖וֹן חֽוּצָה׃

17They began the sanctification on the first day of the first month; on the eighth day of the month they reached the porch of Hashem. They sanctified the House of Hashem for eight days, and on the sixteenth day of the first month they finished.

vai-YA-khe-LU b'-e-KHAD la-KHO-desh ha-ree-SHON l'-ka-DAYSH, u-v'-YOM sh'-MO-nah la-KHO-desh, ba-U l'-u-LAM a-do-NAI, va-y'-ka-DAY-shu et-bayt a-do-NAI l'-ya-MEEM sh'-MO-nah, u-v'-YOM shi-SHAH a-SAHR la-KHO-desh ha-ree-SHON ki-LOO. (Selah)

יזוַ֠יָּחֵ֠לּוּ בְּאֶחָ֞ד לַחֹ֣דֶשׁ הָרִאשׁוֹן֮ לְקַדֵּשׁ֒ וּבְי֧וֹם שְׁמוֹנָ֣ה לַחֹ֗דֶשׁ בָּ֚אוּ לְאוּלָ֣ם יְהֹוָ֔ה וַיְקַדְּשׁ֥וּ אֶת־בֵּית־יְהֹוָ֖ה לְיָמִ֣ים שְׁמוֹנָ֑ה וּבְי֨וֹם שִׁשָּׁ֥ה עָשָׂ֛ר לַחֹ֥דֶשׁ הָרִאשׁ֖וֹן כִּלּֽוּ׃

18Then they went into the palace of King Chizkiyahu and said, “We have purified the whole House of Hashem and the mizbayach of burnt offering and all its utensils, and the table of the bread of display and all its utensils;

vai-ya-BO-u fe-nee-MAH el khiz-ki-YA-hu ha-ME-lekh, vai-YO-mer-U ti-HAR-nu et-KOL beit a-do-NAI, et-miz-BAKH ha-o-LAH, v'-et-KOL ke-LAV, v'-et-shul-KHAN ha-ma-a-RE-khet, v'-et-KOL ke-LAV

יחוַיָּב֤וֹאוּ פְנִ֙ימָה֙ אֶל־חִזְקִיָּ֣הוּ הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ טִהַ֖רְנוּ אֶת־כׇּל־בֵּ֣ית יְהֹוָ֑ה אֶת־מִזְבַּ֤ח הָעוֹלָה֙ וְאֶת־כׇּל־כֵּלָ֔יו וְאֶת־שֻׁלְחַ֥ן הַֽמַּעֲרֶ֖כֶת וְאֶת־כׇּל־כֵּלָֽיו׃

19and all the utensils that King Achaz had befouled during his reign, when he trespassed, we have made ready and sanctified. They are standing in front of the mizbayach of Hashem.”

v'-ET kol ha-KE-leem a-SHER hiz-NI-akh ha-ME-lekh a-KHAZ b'-mal-KHU-to b'-ma-a-LO he-KHA-nu v'-hi-k'-DASH-nu v'-hi-NAM lif-NEI miz-BAKH a-do-NAI.

יטוְאֵ֣ת כׇּל־הַכֵּלִ֗ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר הִזְנִ֩יחַ֩ הַמֶּ֨לֶךְ אָחָ֧ז בְּמַלְכוּת֛וֹ בְּמַעֲל֖וֹ הֵכַ֣נּוּ וְהִקְדָּ֑שְׁנוּ וְהִנָּ֕ם לִפְנֵ֖י מִזְבַּ֥ח יְהֹוָֽה׃

20King Chizkiyahu rose early, gathered the officers of the city, and went up to the House of Hashem.

vai-YASH-khem ye-khiz-ki-YA-hu ha-ME-lekh va-ye-e-SOF ET sa-REI ha-IYR va-YA-al BAYT a-do-NAI

כוַיַּשְׁכֵּם֙ יְחִזְקִיָּ֣הוּ הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ וַיֶּאֱסֹ֕ף אֵ֖ת שָׂרֵ֣י הָעִ֑יר וַיַּ֖עַל בֵּ֥ית יְהֹוָֽה׃

21They brought seven bulls and seven rams and seven lambs and seven he-goats as a sin offering for the kingdom and for the Sanctuary and for Yehuda. He ordered the Aaronite Kohanim to offer them on the mizbayach of Hashem.

vai-ya-VEE-u fa-REEM shiv-AH v'-ay-LEEM shiv-AH u-k'-va-SEEM shiv-AH u-tz'-fi-REI iz-ZEEM shiv-AH l'-kha-TAT al ha-mam-la-KHA v'-al ha-mik-DASH v'-al y'-hu-DA vai-YO-mer liv-NAY a-ha-ROAN ha-ko-HA-neem l'-ha-a-LOT al-miz-BAKH a-do-NAI

כאוַיָּבִ֣יאוּ פָֽרִים־שִׁבְעָה֩ וְאֵילִ֨ים שִׁבְעָ֜ה וּכְבָשִׂ֣ים שִׁבְעָ֗ה וּצְפִירֵ֨י עִזִּ֤ים שִׁבְעָה֙ לְחַטָּ֔את עַל־הַמַּמְלָכָ֥ה וְעַל־הַמִּקְדָּ֖שׁ וְעַל־יְהוּדָ֑ה וַיֹּ֗אמֶר לִבְנֵ֤י אַֽהֲרֹן֙ הַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים לְהַעֲל֖וֹת עַל־מִזְבַּ֥ח יְהֹוָֽה׃

22The cattle were slaughtered, and the Kohanim received the blood and dashed it against the mizbayach; the rams were slaughtered and the blood was dashed against the mizbayach; the lambs were slaughtered and the blood was dashed against the mizbayach.

vai-yish-KHA-tu ha-ba-KAR va-y'-ka-B'-LU ha-ko-ha-NEEM et ha-DAHM va-yi-Z'-RU ha-miz-BAY-khah va-yish-KHA-tu ha-e-LEEM va-yi-Z'-RU ha-DAHM ha-miz-BAY-khah va-yish-KHA-tu ha-ke-va-SEEM va-yi-Z'-RU ha-DAHM ha-miz-BAY-khah

כבוַֽיִּשְׁחֲטוּ֙ הַבָּקָ֔ר וַיְקַבְּל֤וּ הַכֹּֽהֲנִים֙ אֶת־הַדָּ֔ם וַֽיִּזְרְק֖וּ הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חָה וַיִּשְׁחֲט֣וּ הָאֵלִ֗ים וַיִּזְרְק֤וּ הַדָּם֙ הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חָה וַֽיִּשְׁחֲטוּ֙ הַכְּבָשִׂ֔ים וַיִּזְרְק֥וּ הַדָּ֖ם הַמִּזְבֵּֽחָה׃

23The he-goats for the sin offering were presented to the king and the congregation, who laid their hands upon them.

vai-ya-GI-shu et s'-ee-REI ha-cha-TAT lif-NEI ha-ME-lekh v'-ha-ka-HAL vai-yis-M'-KHU ye-DAY-hem a-LEI-hem

כגוַיַּגִּ֙ישׁוּ֙ אֶת־שְׂעִירֵ֣י הַחַטָּ֔את לִפְנֵ֥י הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ וְהַקָּהָ֑ל וַיִּסְמְכ֥וּ יְדֵיהֶ֖ם עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃

24The Kohanim slaughtered them and performed the purgation rite with the blood against the mizbayach, to expiate for all Yisrael, for the king had designated the burnt offering and the sin offering to be for all Yisrael.

vai-yish-cha-TUM ha-ko-HA-neem va-y'-cha-t'-U et da-MAM ha-miz-BAY-khah l'-ka-PAYR al kol yis-ra-AYL, kee l'-kol yis-ra-AYL a-MAR ha-ME-lekh ha-o-LAH v'-ha-cha-TAT

כדוַיִּשְׁחָטוּם֙ הַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים וַֽיְחַטְּא֤וּ אֶת־דָּמָם֙ הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חָה לְכַפֵּ֖ר עַל־כׇּל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל כִּ֤י לְכׇל־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ אָמַ֣ר הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ הָעוֹלָ֖ה וְהַחַטָּֽאת׃

25He stationed the Leviim in the House of Hashem with cymbals and harps and lyres, as David and Gad the king's seer and Natan the Navi had ordained, for the ordinance was by Hashem through His Neviim.

vai-ya-a-MED et ha-l'-vee-YIM, beit a-do-NAI, bi-m'-tsil-TA-yim, bi-n'-va-LEEM u-v'-ki-NOR-ot, bi-mitz-VAT da-VEED v'-GAD kho-ZAY ha-ME-lekh, v'-na-TAN ha-na-VEE, kee b'-yad a-do-NAI ha-mitz-VAH, b'-yad ne-vee-AV

כהוַיַּעֲמֵ֨ד אֶת־הַלְוִיִּ֜ם בֵּ֣ית יְהֹוָ֗ה בִּמְצִלְתַּ֙יִם֙ בִּנְבָלִ֣ים וּבְכִנֹּר֔וֹת בְּמִצְוַ֥ת דָּוִ֛יד וְגָ֥ד חֹזֵֽה־הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ וְנָתָ֣ן הַנָּבִ֑יא כִּ֧י בְיַד־יְהֹוָ֛ה הַמִּצְוָ֖ה בְּיַד־נְבִיאָֽיו׃

26When the Leviim were in place with the instruments of David, and the Kohanim with their trumpets,

vai-YA-am-DU hal-vi-YIM bi-k'-LAY da-VEED v'-ha-ko-ha-NEEM ba-cha-TZO-tz'-ROT

כווַיַּעַמְד֤וּ הַלְוִיִּם֙ בִּכְלֵ֣י דָוִ֔יד וְהַכֹּהֲנִ֖ים בַּחֲצֹצְרֽוֹת׃

27Chizkiyahu gave the order to offer the burnt offering on the mizbayach. When the burnt offering began, the song of Hashem and the trumpets began also, together with the instruments of King David of Yisrael.

vai-YO-mer khiz-ki-YA-hu l'-ha-a-LOT ha-o-LAH l'-ha-mi-Z'-BE-akh u-v'-AYT he-KHEYL ha-o-LAH he-KHEYL shir a-do-NAI v'-ha-kha-TZ'-roht v'-al-y'-DAY k'-LAY da-VEED me-lekh yis-ra-AYL

כזוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ חִזְקִיָּ֔הוּ לְהַעֲל֥וֹת הָעֹלָ֖ה לְהַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַ וּבְעֵ֞ת הֵחֵ֣ל הָעוֹלָ֗ה הֵחֵ֤ל שִׁיר־יְהֹוָה֙ וְהַחֲצֹ֣צְר֔וֹת וְעַ֨ל־יְדֵ֔י כְּלֵ֖י דָּוִ֥יד מֶלֶךְ־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

28All the congregation prostrated themselves, the song was sung and the trumpets were blown—all this until the end of the burnt offering.

v'-kol ha-ka-HAL mish-ta-cha-VIM v'-ha-SHIR me-sho-RER v'-ha-cha-tzo-tzo-ROT (ma-cha-tzo-REEM) [ma-ch'-tzo-REEM] ha-KOL ad likh-LOT ha-o-LAH

כחוְכׇל־הַקָּהָל֙ מִֽשְׁתַּחֲוִ֔ים וְהַשִּׁ֣יר מְשׁוֹרֵ֔ר וְהַחֲצֹצְר֖וֹת (מחצצרים) [מַחְצְרִ֑ים] הַכֹּ֕ל עַ֖ד לִכְל֥וֹת הָעֹלָֽה׃

29When the offering was finished, the king and all who were there with him knelt and prostrated themselves.

u-kh'-kha-LOT l'-ha-a-LOT ka-r'-U ha-ME-lekh v'-khol ha-nim-tz'-EEM i-TO va-yish-ta-kha-VU

כטוּכְכַלּ֖וֹת לְהַעֲל֑וֹת כָּֽרְע֗וּ הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ וְכׇֽל־הַנִּמְצְאִ֥ים אִתּ֖וֹ וַיִּֽשְׁתַּחֲוֽוּ׃

30King Chizkiyahu and the officers ordered the Leviim to praise Hashem in the words of David and Asaf the seer; so they praised rapturously, and they bowed and prostrated themselves.

vai-YO-mer ye-khiz-ki-YA-hu ha-ME-lekh v'-ha-sa-REEM la-le-vee-YIM l'-ha-LEL la-do-NAI b'-div-RAY da-VEED v'-a-SAF ha-KHO-zeh, vai-hal-LU ad l'-si-m'-KHA, vai-yi-k'-DU vai-yish-ta-KHA-vu.

לוַ֠יֹּ֠אמֶר יְחִזְקִיָּ֨הוּ הַמֶּ֤לֶךְ וְהַשָּׂרִים֙ לַלְוִיִּ֔ם לְהַלֵּל֙ לַֽיהֹוָ֔ה בְּדִבְרֵ֥י דָוִ֖יד וְאָסָ֣ף הַחֹזֶ֑ה וַֽיְהַלְלוּ֙ עַד־לְשִׂמְחָ֔ה וַֽיִּקְּד֖וּ וַיִּֽשְׁתַּחֲוֽוּ׃

31Then Chizkiyahu said, “Now you have consecrated yourselves to Hashem; come, bring sacrifices of well-being and thanksgiving to the House of Hashem.” The congregation brought sacrifices of well-being and thanksgiving, and all who felt so moved brought burnt offerings.

vai-YA-an ye-khiz-ki-YA-hu va-YO-mer a-TAH mi-le-TEM yed-KHEM la-do-NAI, GO-shu v'-ha-VEE-u ze-va-KHEEM v'-to-DOT l'-VEYT a-do-NAI, vai-YA-VEE-u ha-ka-HAL ze-va-KHEEM v'-to-DOT v'-kol ne-DEEV layv o-LOT

לאוַיַּ֨עַן יְחִזְקִיָּ֜הוּ וַיֹּ֗אמֶר עַתָּ֨ה מִלֵּאתֶ֤ם יֶדְכֶם֙ לַֽיהֹוָ֔ה גֹּ֧שׁוּ וְהָבִ֛יאוּ זְבָחִ֥ים וְתוֹד֖וֹת לְבֵ֣ית יְהֹוָ֑ה וַיָּבִ֤יאוּ הַקָּהָל֙ זְבָחִ֣ים וְתוֹד֔וֹת וְכׇל־נְדִ֥יב לֵ֖ב עֹלֽוֹת׃

32The number of burnt offerings that the congregation brought was 70 cattle, 100 rams, 200 lambs—all these for burnt offerings to Hashem.

vai-HI, mis-PAR ha-o-LAH a-SHER he-VI-u ha-ka-HAL, ba-KAR shiv-EEM, e-LEEM me-a, ke-va-SEEYM ma-ta-YEEM, l'-o-LAH la-do-NAI, kol e-LEH

לבוַיְהִ֞י מִסְפַּ֣ר הָעֹלָה֮ אֲשֶׁ֣ר הֵבִ֣יאוּ הַקָּהָל֒ בָּקָ֣ר שִׁבְעִ֔ים אֵילִ֥ים מֵאָ֖ה כְּבָשִׂ֣ים מָאתָ֑יִם לְעֹלָ֥ה לַֽיהֹוָ֖ה כׇּל־אֵֽלֶּה׃

33The sacred offerings were 600 large cattle and 3,000 small cattle.

v'-ha-ko-da-SHEEM ba-KAR shesh me-OT v'-tzo-AN sh'-LO-shet a-la-FEEM

לגוְֽהַקֳּדָשִׁ֑ים בָּקָר֙ שֵׁ֣שׁ מֵא֔וֹת וְצֹ֖אן שְׁלֹ֥שֶׁת אֲלָפִֽים׃

34The Kohanim were too few to be able to flay all the burnt offerings, so their kinsmen, the Leviim, reinforced them till the end of the work, and till the [rest of the] Kohanim sanctified themselves. (The Leviim were more conscientious about sanctifying themselves than the Kohanim.)

לדרַ֤ק הַכֹּֽהֲנִים֙ הָי֣וּ לִמְעָ֔ט וְלֹ֣א יָכְל֔וּ לְהַפְשִׁ֖יט אֶת־כׇּל־הָעֹל֑וֹת וַֽיְחַזְּק֞וּם אֲחֵיהֶ֣ם הַלְוִיִּ֗ם עַד־כְּל֤וֹת הַמְּלָאכָה֙ וְעַ֣ד יִתְקַדְּשׁ֣וּ הַכֹּהֲנִ֔ים כִּ֤י הַלְוִיִּם֙ יִשְׁרֵ֣י לֵבָ֔ב לְהִתְקַדֵּ֖שׁ מֵהַכֹּהֲנִֽים׃

35For beside the large number of burnt offerings, there were the fat parts of the sacrifices of well-being and the libations for the burnt offerings; so the service of the House of Hashem was properly accomplished.

v'-GAM-o-LAH la-ROV b'-khel-VAY ha-sh'-la-MEEM u-va-n'-sa-KHEEM la-o-LAH va-ti-KON a-vo-DAT bayt a-do-NAI

להוְגַם־עֹלָ֨ה לָרֹ֜ב בְּחֶלְבֵ֧י הַשְּׁלָמִ֛ים וּבַנְּסָכִ֖ים לָֽעֹלָ֑ה וַתִּכּ֖וֹן עֲבוֹדַ֥ת בֵּית־יְהֹוָֽה׃

36Chizkiyahu and all the people rejoiced over what Hashem had enabled the people to accomplish, because it had happened so suddenly.

vai-YIS-makh ye-khiz-ki-YA-hu v'-kol-ha-AM al ha-he-KHEEN ha-e-lo-HEEM la-AM, KEE b'-fit-OM ha-YA ha-DA-var.

לווַיִּשְׂמַ֤ח יְחִזְקִיָּ֙הוּ֙ וְכׇל־הָעָ֔ם עַ֛ל הַהֵכִ֥ין הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים לָעָ֑ם כִּ֥י בְּפִתְאֹ֖ם הָיָ֥ה הַדָּבָֽר׃
