1The word of Hashem came to me:

2You, O mortal, [say:] Thus said Hashem to the land of Yisrael: Doom! Doom is coming upon the four corners of the land.

7:13 For the seller shall not return to what he sold
The Land of Israel is a sacred trust from Hashem, and in biblical times familial properties could be sold only in times of dire necessity. These sales were always considered temporary, and the family would make extreme efforts to redeem their property, their physical connection to the Holy Land (Leviticus 25). During the yovel, the Jubilee year, even lands which had not been redeemed would be returned to the original owners. In this bitter prophecy, Yechezkel warns that the upcoming exile will prevent both buyer and seller from enjoying the land, since they will be exiled from Eretz Yisrael.
14They have sounded the horn, and all is prepared; but no one goes to battle, for My wrath is directed against all her multitude.
