  • There is nothing like the sound of the shofar. When I was on a mission trip to Chile I left mine with them. You see they wanted to learn Jewish roots so much and it was an honor to give them the shofar and a prayer shawl. From one year to the next visit they were able to teach us. What a heart for Isreal!

  • I bought my shofar at Danny Boy's shop on Ben Yehuda Street.
This is a great shop that gets lots of great reviews on tourist sites just because the owner really knows how to treat people right. He deserves every word of praise he gets.
I bought a ram's horn shofar because my birth Torah portion is the Song of Moshe. The ram's horn seemed to link more closely to that period in time than the Yemenite shofars (at least in my thinking).
I blow it every Rosh Chodesh and at the Appointed times – Moedim and still the sound sends "thrills up my spine".

  • Beautiful. I really love the shofars. I hope to hear one in Jerusalem in the not too distant future.

  • Hallelujah! I really enjoy listening to the music while at work. Helps me to stay stress free…

  • What beautiful shofars! There’s no more beautiful way to call people to prayer than the sound of shofar. Baruch Hashem!

    • I agree, I also have a picture in my mind of when the 'Children of Israel' were in the desert it must have been the shofar that called them to move there is no other sound in the world like the shofar is there!

      • You're absolutely right about that! I bought my shofar on my first trip to Israel and brought it to Thailand where I lived at that time. Since then, it's traveled around the world with me and we used it on the cover of one of our CD's on top of a mountain in Colorado. It goes with us wherever we go.

There's nothing like the sound of a shofar to bring people awake spiritually.
        Baruch Hashem.

  • Very enjoying and relaxing, thank you.
