Prayer for the Victims of the Meron Tragedy

Psalms 121

Join Rabbi Tuly Weisz in his prayer from Psalm 121 “I lift my eyes to the mountains, from where does my help come? My help comes from Hashem” over the tragedy on Mount Meron on April 29, 2021. 44 Jews died and 150 were injured in the largest peacetime mass casualty event in Israeli history leaving dozens of widows, orphans and grieving families.

When he composed this psalm, the psalmist might have been standing at the foot of a large mountain, perhaps at the foot of the mountains at Meron, about to embark on a long journey. As he looks up to the mountains, he stands in awe of their beauty, their massiveness, their sheer greatness. It makes him feel meek, and he wonders: From where did they come? Who is behind them? Who will protect him on his journey through them?

I stand with Rabbi Tuly and the world who supports Israel's peace and her protection. I am a Christian, believing in the Word of Bible, that God will bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse Israel. I am believing in my covenant blessing.
    Shalom,
    Phyllis (Hadassah)
